Irridon is a Thunder Converter character.
Irridon is one of the 6 star units available in the summon pool that you can use Star Flares to recruit with.
One of Irridon’s selling point is her ability to convert 2 tiles of your choice to yellow. At breakthrough 3 (B3), she gets enhanced tiles, which can give you additional yellow tiles around it when you step on it. At breakthrough 6 (B6), the active skill becomes pre-emptive and you can use it at the start of battle, which is super useful in certain missions.
However, to get her to B6, you will need 5 of her copies to get that skill, so this means it will be out of reach for most F2p players that are starting out. Her potential won’t be at her best until then. Her cooldown for her active skill is 3 turns, which isn’t ideal if you do not have another yellow converter that can convert tiles right at the start of battle.
Her equipment when upgraded, improves her damage output on chain combos and normal attacks when she steps on her own prism tiles. So, you do get a slight damage improvement every 3 turns when her active skill is available.
As for Irridon’s role in a team, she works best when paired up with one or 2 other thunder converters such as Gronru, Beverly, Nemesis, Nadine, Unimet and Eho. This will give enough yellow tiles to allow you to launch stronger chain combo attacks.
She is not the best captain due to her limited range, which is up to 2 surrounding clusters and max chain combo. She also have the best stats, with lower attack and medium defense and health. If you do not have another low cooldown or pre-emptive yellow convertor, she will not shine as much.
